"Hi, I’m Gurjeet. I’m a visual artist based in Chandigarh, India".

"I’d describe my personal style as free and fun. My elder sisters introduced me to fashion; growing up together, they operated a stitching business from our home, sewing garments for the women in our village. I learned to use the sewing machine and various embroidery techniques as well as applications from them. They’ve impacted my sense of style from the very beginning".

"I am always putting together combinations of loud and patterned fabrics and experimenting by mixing textiles like lace, knits & prints".

"Growing up, I was always bullied for not being “man enough” or for having a feminine side. I was forced to wear the standard “men’s wardrobe” – shirt and trousers with minimal accessories".

"The pieces I choose to wear today are not gender specific and can be worn by just about anyone. Skirts with shirts, baggy pants, and even slim silhouettes".
